Black and white photograph entitled 'A Russian Peasant Girl at Work'. The photograph shows two female farm laborers working in a field. They are sat either side of a row of short crops, the younger of the two women is looking towards the camera.

From page 17 of snapshot photograph album no. 15, compiled by Herbert Galloway Stewart (1866-1960). Galloway Stewart was English tutor to the sons of Grand Duke Alexander and his wife Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, sister of Tsar Nicholas II, between 1908 and 1917.
