The second of two black and white photographs entitled 'Kichkiney'. The photograph, taken from a high vantage point, looks down onto a group of large white buildings or palace estate. The complex includes towers, a domed roof, many archways and formal gardens overlooking the sea or a large lake.

From page 24 of snapshot album number 21 compiled by Herbert Galloway Stewart, English tutor to the sons of Grand Duke Alexander and his wife Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, sister of Tsar Nicholas II, between 1908 and 1917.
