Black and white photograph entitled 'The same' (Departure of The Grand Duke for Peterhof on eve of the war). The photograph shows H. I. H. The Grand Duke Alexander Michailovitch sitting in the back of a motor car. General Doombandzy (?) and General Gvozdyavitch both stand with their backs to the camera with Miss Coster and the Alexandrovitch Princes also near the car. Four servants, one on the verandah, also stand in attendance. A parrot in a bird cage rests on the ground. Taken by Herbert Galloway Stewart in The Crimea in July 1914.
