Printed caption on verso reads: "NEW YORK: The 33.19 carat emerald-cut Krupp diamond glitters and Frank Pollack smiles after his family's first bought the stone for $305,000 at an auction at the Parke-Bernet Galleries here yesterday. The stone is known as the Krupp diamond because famous German steel magnate Alfred Krupp bought it for his second wife, Vera. It was sent for sale by the executors of the late Vera Krupp. It was reported that Frank Pollak and Sons, New York diamons dealers, bought the diamons said to be one of the most perfect stones in the wqorld, for actress Elizabeth Taylor".
