Black and white photograph entitled 'The G. D. Nicholas and his Servants'. The photograph shows H. I. H. The Grand Duke Nicholas Michailovitch standing at the foot of a flight of stone steps with one of his servants, wearing a dark coloured suite, standing to the right. Two other men, one wearing a military uniform and the other a dark, civilian suite, stand on the steps behind the Grand Duke. Taken by Herbert Galloway Stewart in the grounds of Ai-Todor Palace, The Crimea, in September 1916.
