Flint (a small fragment of chert; length 1 in), collected by Mr. M. L. Dawes from the Mizari tribe of the Baloches, of the Hills adjoining Dera Ghazi, Kahn District, Punjaub. India. Used with steel and tinder (the woolly tormentum from the axils of the leaves of the Dwarf Palm or Phish, Chamærops ritchieana, steeped in saltpetre)
