Midnight blue/grey striped observation of Jupiter made by John Willis on 8 September 1891 at 10:40pm. On the reverse Willis has noted: "3 inch. 250. Sat II and its shadow". This drawing shows satellite Europa as a bright spot and the shadow as a dark spot on Jupiter. One of 275 pencil, ink and colour wash observations of the Sun and Jupiter made by Willis in Folkestone between 1879 and 1906.
