Observation notes on the colour of the bands on Jupiter made by John Willis, undated. The drawing shows brown/cream pencilled into stripes of coloured bands. Willis has noted: "bluish / greyish / ruddy / yellowish / coppery or ruddy / white I" and on the reverse the colours run back through to bluish. One of 275 pencil, ink and colour wash observations of the Sun and Jupiter made by Willis in Folkestone between 1879 and 1906.
