Banner 'One small ask / Please wear a mask' produced by Battery Park City Authority, New York, during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic. The illustrations are better British illustrator Nina Chakrabarti, and the banners were designed by Future Brand. Cut cable ties at the corners show where the banner was attached when installed in public space. This example shows remnants of graffiti and paint from being installed.

This banner was produced by the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) in New York and was displayed in Manhattan as part of the public health campaign during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 to encourage wearing face coverings.

Nina Chakrabarti was invited by her American agent to create digital illustrations to help New York City Council’s pandemic messaging on social media. This digital campaign led the Battery Park City Authority to produce a physical campaign with banners displayed outdoors. These were made by brand company FutureBrand who worked with New York City Council to print and distribute the banners across the city. This banner shows traces of graffiti, which were painted over by BPCA, giving a sense of how people interacted with these objects in the urban environment.
