A person can carry HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus, for years before symptoms of illness appear. During this time they may look and feel healthy. This poster carries HIV and AIDS-related information. It shows an apparently healthy man with the message: 'Before you sleep with someone, look out for the signs of HIV'.
The poster intended to dispel the then popular myth that individuals who carried the virus would be identifiable by looking ill.
