More

Educating the public about venereal disease (VD) was the aim of this poster. It was released during the 1950s and 60s by the Central Council for Health Education. VD described any disease spread through sexual contact. The most prevalent venereal diseases during this era included gonorrhoea and syphilis. Venereal diseases are now called STIs (sexually transmitted infections). The majority are easily treated with antibiotics.
