More

The Health Education Authority hoped to highlight the anti-social nature of smoking with the slogan: 'Kiss my lips, Kiss my ashtray'. This campaign was aimed at younger smokers. It suggested their habit was a turn-off for the opposite sex. Smoking causes diseases such as lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and heart disease. An estimated six million people in Britain died from tobacco-related diseases between 1950 and 2000.
