VHS videotape of “Rail Privatisation - Your Rights and Your Pension”, a video produced for British Railways Board in February 1994, by The Resource Base. Duration: 30 minutes. The video was made to explain to British Rail staff how the privatisation of the railways will impact them, specifically their pension, their travel benefits, their rights and TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations).

This videotape was donated during the course of the Britain’s Railways All Change (BRAC) oral history project. BRAC was set-up to cover gaps in documenting the railway privatisation process in the United Kingdom, between 1994 and 1997, when the government-owned British Rail was dismantled into over 100 privately-owned companies.

It is thought that copies of the videotape was sent to all managers and supervisors thoughout British Rail with advice on how and when showing the video to staff.
