Christmas card with a red background with the words "All I want for Christmas is" and a cartoon of a vaccine vial and a needle in an opened gift box, referring to the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine, designed by Soula Zavacopoulos, sold by Moonpig, 2020

Many greetings cards makers developed cards with designs reflecting responses to the COVID-19 pandemic including social distancing, staying at home, and self-isolation. The roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine in the United Kingdom is one of the great hopes for restrictions to be eased. Margaret Keenan, aged 90, was the first person to have the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine outside of clinical trials in the United Kingdom. On 8 December 2020, May Parsons delivered the vaccine to Mrs Keenan with the second dose three weeks later. Many people who had the vaccine in the UK were quoted by news reports saying it was the best present they received and were looking forward to when they could spend time with their families and friends.
