Christmas card on a blue background with a cartoon image of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson wearing a red hat with the words "When it comes to Christmas what we are saying is celebrate, but not after 10pm. Eat turkey, but don't eat with family or friends. Open presents, but don't leave your house to buy or give any presents. Spread festive cheer, but don't be cheerful." designed and sold by Scribbler, 2020

Many greetings cards makers developed cards with designs reflecting responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been criticised in the media for seemingly U-turns in policies to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Media outlets reported on the cancelling of mass community testing in March 2020, the delay in the mandatory use of face coverings, and the closure of schools in January 2021 one day after a new term had started.
