Many greetings cards makers developed cards with designs reflecting responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout March, elbow-bumping replaced traditional greetings such as handshakes, kisses, and hugs. In September 2020, the World Health Organisation advised against any contact between people including the elbow bump.
