Some companies decided to produce Christmas tree decorations inspired by the shape of the COVID-19 virus. When England first went into lockdown, beginning on 23 March 2020, the makers of this ornament placed a similar design about their notice about their closure.
Decorations based on the shape of the virus have been divisive. Some do not want to be reminded of the impact of COVID-19 on everyone’s lives. Others have wanted to commemorate an unprecedented year.
