Greeting card on pink background showing two cartoon figures social distancing and wearing face coverings with the words "Quaranteid Mubarak", sold by Regal, 2020

Eid Muburak is a Muslim greeting used on the festivals of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The greeting translates from Arabic as "blessed feast or festival" or "have a blessed holiday" . The COVID-19 pandemic meant that the celebration of these two holy events in the Muslim faith's calendar had to be adapted. Eid al-Fitr is at the end of Ramadam, a month of fasting. Usually, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated with prayers, food, festivals and community celebrations with families exchanging gifts and cards. In 2020 in the United Kingdom, Eid al-Fitr began on the evening of 23 May while the nation was still in lockdown so celebrations had to be adapted. Eid al-Adha began on 30 July 2020 and ended on 3 August 2020. This is considered one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar and remembers the prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son when God ordered him to. It is celebrated with prayers, visiting family and friends and giving money to charity.
