Packet of 40 fabric plasters for medium skin tones, produced in China for Tesco Stores Ltd., 2020
This range of plasters available in three different skin tones was the first of its kind to be sold in a UK supermarket. Tesco, the UK's largest retailer, launched its own-brand range of fabric plasters in February 2020. The plasters were promoted via a marketing campaign with the tagline ‘About bloody time’. Until this point, similar products were only available via specialist retailers. Within weeks of the announcement, Superdrug and Boots launched their own ranges of plasters in multiple shades.
