Advertising a company’s products use to rely on hand-drawn images, featuring in trade catalogues. With the advent of photography, prospective customers could see images of potential purchases. Photography could also be used for teaching purpose to give users a sense of the equipment they may come across. Within this set are electrical circuit diagrams, explanations of equipment, annotated photographs of large x-ray macines and advertising image for trade catalogues.

This set is from a larger set of glass plates from the companies who made x-ray and electrical treatment devices. Several take-overs and mergers, saw the company change names and focus in the type of material they made.
