35mm film, "Royal Trains" produced in 1959 by the BBC Children's Film Unit, British Broadcasting Corporation Film Unit, Ealing Green, London. Broadcast on 5 January 1960. The film starts with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II alighting the Royal Train. The film then details the features and furnishings of some of the rolling stock and carriages used by the British royal family when travelling by train. Including the earliest vehicles used by the Royals, Queen Adelaide's saloon, the first royal family member to travel by train in 1840. As well as Queen Victoria’s saloon, the first British monarch to travel on the railways. Black and white, with commentary by Bruce Wyndham. Reel 3 of 3
