Greetings card with a reflection on the COVID-19 pandemic
- Made:
- 2020 in United Kingdom

Christmas card designed by Fiz reimagining the song Silent Night with a reflection on the COVID-19 pandemic, given to Jannicke Langfeldt, December 2020
Every year, the maker of this card designs Christmas cards, often reflecting on their year. Their card for 2020, reflected their view of the political handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The lyrics reference the closure of many businesses and some of the restrictions brought in to prevent the spread of coronavirus including social distancing, handwashing. Political division and the impact to the NHS are also referenced. The inside verses originally had reference to Dominic Cumming’s role as chief adviser to Prime Minister. However, after Cumming’s departure from Downing Street in November 2020, the card’s designer had to add a handwritten alteration.
