- 2020 in United Kingdom
Royal Trinity Hospice leaflet titled ‘Helping you understand and cope with breathlessness’, published March 2020 in anticipation of more people struggling with breathlessness, one of several leaflets Royal Trinity Hospice produced in February to May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic
Royal Trinity Hospice produced this leaflet to help support their local community. During the pandemic, Royal Trinity Hospice found that more people were choosing to remain at home, rather than going into the hospice. This was partly due to the strict visiting restrictions that were necessary in hospices and care homes. Through leaflets like this one, Royal Trinity Hospice could help people with difficult circumstances and more complex needs at home. Breathlessness, for example, is a particular focus of palliative care to make sure that people are as comfortable as possible.
Founded in 1891, Royal Trinity Hospice is England’s oldest hospice. They provide in-patient and community palliative and end of life care in South West London.
