Royal Trinity Hospice poster titled ‘Notice to all visitors: changes to visiting from Monday 12 April 2021’, one of many leaflets and posters produced by Royal Trinity Hospice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic
Visiting restrictions were one of the main ways that hospices and care homes could protect their residents during the pandemic. However, this was hugely difficult for residents and their families. This poster explains the rules for visitors in April 2021. Rules ranged from a limit on the number of visitors to personal protective equipment like aprons being necessary. The ever-evolving COVID-19 situation also meant that visiting restrictions changed frequently. Throughout the pandemic, Royal Trinity Hospice had the discretion to relax visiting rules for patients at the end of their life.
Founded in 1891, Royal Trinity Hospice is England’s oldest hospice. They provide in-patient and community palliative and end of life care in South West London.
