Royal Trinity Hospice poster titled ‘Vaccinations are now available for all patient-facing staff’, one of many leaflets and posters produced by Royal Trinity Hospice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Care home workers and frontline health and social care staff were in the first two priority groups when COVID-19 vaccines started to be rolled out in the UK in December 2020. Due to their work, both groups were themselves at high risk of catching COVID-19 and were working with people who were potentially more vulnerable to the virus. Researchers have found that one of the most effective ways to encourage people who might be hesitant to get the vaccine is give them an opportunity like this to have a conversation about their questions and concerns.

Founded in 1891, Royal Trinity Hospice is England’s oldest hospice. They provide in-patient and community palliative and end of life care in South West London.
