The Sir Arthur Clarke Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Arthur C. Clarke Foundation, 2017, 12in. High

Among the most visually striking features of Stephen Hawking's office are the multiple trophies he chose to keep there. The majority are located on the windowsills, but they were also sometimes found on free spaces along the bookshelves. These trophies often changed location, and also circulated in and out of the office, to his home and even external exhibitions such as the Science Museum in 2012. These trophies represent a small subset of prizes won by Stephen, and the selection kept in his office was principally due to their artistic quality or significance to causes dear to him such as his disability activism.

Most of the awards in his office were received at ceremonies attended in person by Stephen.

Trophies that referred directly to his scientific achievements were not on display in the office. The Science Museum also acquired a selection of those, but they came from his home.
