Bolex M8 projector modified for widescreen projection. Part of the Widescreen Association Collection.
This projector underwent some conversion with the orignial 1000w tungsten lamp being replaced with a 12v 100w quartz halogen source that produced a white light of at least twice the previous intensity. this was coupled with trimming the shutter blades and maximising the imag areas, effectively widening a 2:1 ratio home size screen up to 3x6ft. The use of a 'perlux' surface further enhanced the reflctivity.
