'Around Ealing' magazine, with information about vaccines and information about COVID-19 testing in multiple languages, March 2021

Bringing stories from around Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall, the front page shows the vaccine roll out in the local area. Given to local residents, this magazine contains information to support them during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inside are public health announcements reminding people to wash hands regularly, wearing a face covering, unless exempt and to keep a safe distance from others where possible. Inside, testing sites for people with and without symptoms are mapped and ways of accessing financial support after a positive test. The back page lets people know that they can get a free coronavirus test, even without symptoms. The information is translated into nine languages to make it accessible to people living in Ealing.

‘Keep Ealing Safe’ was part of the larger ‘Keep London Safe’ campaign which began in July 2020. Research showed 46 per cent of Londoners surveyed did not know how to get a test. The public messaging was flexible to take into account specific local needs and was used on posters, leaflets and social media.
