Reader’s Digest, September 1992, featuring article "A Brief History of Stephen Hawking", a digest from the 1992 biography "Stephen Hawking: A Life in Science", authored by Michael White and John Gribbin.

Part of Stephen Hawking's Office collection, but not coming directly from the office, are a collection of popular magazines that feature articles about Stephen Hawking dated after 1987 when he became a household name with the publication of A Brief History of Time. These magazines are a sample of how he became famous in the 1980s and 1990s in varied cultural contexts and languages. These magazines were meant for display, at Cambridge or to outside organizations in exhibitions and puiblic events featuring Stephen Hawking.
