Name plate labelled 'B1.07 Professor S.W. Hawking'
This was the name plate that labelled Stephen's Hawking's office at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge.
Stephen Hawking had considerable influence in the fund-raising that allowed for the building of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, but his office was almost indistinct from the others. The features in it that made it different were necessary due to his disability. The footprint corresponded to two regular-sized offices including a corner spot. Most of the furniture and equipment in the office is standard-issue, in the same design found elsewhere in his department.
