People with epilepsy experience seizures, which start in their brain. It is a group of conditions with different types, which may not be visibly obvious and affects everyone differently. The Epilepsy Society estimates that 1 in 100 people has the condition. The Calm, Cushion, Call card helps people to know basic first aid to help someone having what is know as a tonic clonic seizures. Staying calm, cushioning their head and calling an ambulance if it lasts longer than five minutes. The card is purple which is the international colour associated with epilepsy.

Launched at Gatwick airport in 2016, the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a symbol that people can choose to wear indicating that they may need additional assistance, space, or time.
