On 19 June 2021, anyone aged 18 and over and living in Barking and Dagenham, City of London, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest, were invited to come for their first COVID-19 jab. People could also pre-book. A number of football stadiums opened their doors to reach as many people as possible.
The ‘Keep London Safe’ campaign which began in July 2020. Research showed 46 per cent of Londoners surveyed did not know how to get a test. The public messaging was flexible to take into account specific local needs and was used on posters, leaflets and social media.
