11 page activity pack for spring 2021 sent by Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow and Brent on the theme of spring containing a letter dated February 2021, colouring in spring scene, student researcher call out to participate in a study about the impact of COVID-19, recipes for banana cake and pancakes, craft activity making rabbits, Irish culture newsletter, exercises, Members Message Board, ‘The Fields of Athenry’ and ‘Glorious St Patrick’ poems, wordsearch and crossword puzzle, addressed envelope to AGE UK HHM Townfeld, with brown postal envelope, compiled by Social Wellbeing team, during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021

Beginning in summer 2020, the Social Wellbeing Team at Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow and Brent announced the start of their support package through monthly activity packs.

The ninth pack gives advice on the best time to go out, between 1-3pm, wearing layers and to build up walks gradually, particularly as many may not have been able to leave home and the unfolding of spring and nature after winter. The letter also announced the online event of a St Patrick’s Day coffee morning on 17th December, particularly for those who pre-pandemic attended the Irish Club (Failte). Generally all of the participants were of Irish descent.

Each pack had a theme and related puzzles, recipes, information sheets, colouring in and ways to communicate with messages boards by post. Realising that many of their local community might struggle with or not have access to digital communication, packs were posted and offers of help with WhatsApp and Zoom were offered.
