Faecal microbiota capsules (FMT) developed by NIHR and King's College London.

FMT or stool (poo) transplantation is a treatment that involves transfering healthy people's gut bacteria into an patient. The transplant is intended to balance the patients gut bacteria for treating resistant to antibiotics bacteria, like Clostridium Difficile, and/or to restore people's gut microbiome after treatment or illness. FMT lab produces liquid preparations, made of the poo of healthy donors, which can be administered via different methods. The capsules are an alternative to more invasive and costly transplant infusions given via a colonoscopy.
