A double anastigmat series III 'DAGOR' lens F.6.8 125MM f.l. in a recessed rigid mount with a ring type iris diaphragm. In 1892 Erich von Hoegh applied for a patent for the Goerz double anastigmat. This was a symmetrical lens developed from the rapid rectilinear by adding a component of the new Jena glass to each half of the R.R lens. The resultant six component lens could be used at apertures of F.6.8 over a field of 70 degrees. After 1904 the Goerz double Anastigmat series III was named the 'Dagor' lens. Ref.
