Rectangular yellow Parkesine lid with lipped edge. Slightly warped with raised inlay in one corner. Central motif of a shield surrounded by floral and semi circle decorations. Inlaid with silver, brass and mother of pearl. Decoration within a rectangular frame with wave line decoration. Marked P139. Made by Alexander Parkes; c.1862.
