Rectangular yellow Parkesine lid with lipped edge. Slightly warped with raised inlay in one corner. Central motif of flowers surrounded by semi circle decorations. Inlaid with silver, brass and mother of pearl. Decoration within a rectangular frame with wave line decoration. Marked P140. Made by Alexander Parkes; c.1862.
