Wood and brass plaque from the Hinton Cup, awarded by the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB), 1959-1989.

This plaque came with the Hinton Cup, named for Sir Christopher Hinton, first Chairman of the CEGB, and eventually awarded to all of the CEGB’s electricity generating stations. The plaque states: 'This cup is presented annually to the Power Station judged to have reached the highest attainment in ecoomy and efficiency of operation and maintenance with particular reference to attractiveness and good housekeeping.'
