- 2023
A6 leaflet (portrait orientation) made and distributed by Campaign for Family-Friendly Trains in 2023. The leaflet was handed by campaigners to families travelling on board trains. One side of the leaflet shows in black text on white background the name 'Campaign for Family-Friendly Trains' (CFFT) with a symbol of a baby in a pushchair and a presentation of the campaign in one sentence. There are two colour photographs, one of a train carriage with a children play area and one of an unfolded pushchair in a passenger carriage. At the bottom, a drawing of a train, and on white text on black background, the campaign website, contact email address and twitter handle. On the other side, the leaflet includes what the campaign is asking for, in white text on black background. A set of colour photographs with accompanying text (black on white background) illustrates what the campaign wants to stop and how it wants it to be replaced: prams in luggage bays, dangerous platform edge gaps.
Campaign for Family-Friendly Trains was started in the United Kingdom in 2021, it is a group of parents and carers campaigning to make travelling by train with young children easier on UK rail network. Most of their campaigning activities is digital and communicated online. This leaflet is a sample of some printed leaflets they have produced to distribute by hand to families travelling on board trains.
Their priorities are: obtaining reservable space for prams and pushchairs on trains, having family-friendly toilets and baby changing, having stef free access and level boarding and playful waiting rooms.
