Toyoda Type 'G' automatic power loom, 1924. This was the world's first automatic loom where the shuttle could be changed without stopping the loom. By 1929 Platt Brothers of Oldham were marketing the loom in the UK. With the license fees from this arrangement, Toyoda launched the Toyota Motor Company.
