Roundup Ready Canola Grower Agreement - blank application form
Roundup Ready Canola Grower Agreement - blank application form
Monsanto’s Roundup Ready crops were genetically modified to withstand the company’s glyphosate-based weedkiller, Roundup. Farmers had to sign a contract like this to use Monsanto’s patented GM seeds. But there was a catch: if they planted seeds saved from their first Roundup Ready harvest, Monsanto sued.
The patented technology raised concerns about farmers’ rights and corporate control of food production. Fair distribution of genetically engineered seeds remains a critical issue.
