Recording equipment - Sennheiser headphones - used in bioacoustics bird diversity study on agroecological farm in Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, India, over 2 million farmers have adopted agroecology. Using this equipment, researcher Iris Berger made recordings of birdsong to measure the diversity of bird species in the region. Iris compared agroecological farms with farms that use synthetic chemicals. She found the ecological farms had greater biodiversity and a smaller impact on climate, while maintaining the same output of food.
