Ballpoint pen, with white casing and pink lettering advertising Synulox

Ballpoint pens are one form of advertising new medicines to healthcare professionals or at large scale trade shows.

Synulox is the brand name for an antibiotic used for infections caused by bacteria, used by vets to treat animals. It is a combination of amoxicillin, a type of penicillin and clavulanic acid, also known as co-amoxiclav. First launched in the UK in 1981, it was developed by a team of scientists working at Beecham, who developed sem-synthetic penicillins.
