More
The eponymous Alien from the Alien film franchise was designed by Swiss surrealist H. R. Giger. The Alien made its debut in the first Alien film in 1979 and went on to appear in all of the film's sequels and spin-offs. This model shows the head and torso of the Alien, with the iconic elongated head and pharyngeal jaws, as well as human-like arms with built-in body armour. Giger and special effects designer Carlo Rambaldi won an Academy Award for Visual Effects at the 1980 Oscars for their design of the Alien.
