Pack of 3 Femidom female condoms plus one unlubricated sample and information leaflets. Made by Chartex International plc. 1992

There are 3 Femidom female condoms plus one unlubricated sample and information leaflets. The female condom is manufactured by Chartex International Plc and is marketed in different countries under various trade names. It is synthetic and was developed in the early 1990s as an alternative to the latex condom. It has the benefit that it can be inserted before sex, giving the woman more control over contraception and safer sex. It consists of a lightly lubricated polyurethane bag with a flexible ring at each end. The ring at the closed end is removable and used for insertion and keeping the condom in place. The larger outer ring is fixed and remains outside the vagina ensuring that the Femidom does not slip inside.
