James Richard Barfoot was a British illustrator whose images were featured in books and newspapers. His works include a series of engravings entitled "The Progress of Cotton", which Barfoot produced for a short book about the steps cotton manufacturing written by William Darton and published in 1840. Barfoot also produced board games for children, many of which had a colonial focus.
