Sparks & Sullock

Sparks & Sullock was an aviation company based in Swansea and known to have been active in 1920. G. S. Sparks and E.A. Sullock themselves were former RAF officers who obtained a license from A.V. Roe & Co. Ltd. to operate aircraft for mainly short pleasure flights. According to company advertisements, the pair were available to hire for longer flights, exhibition flights, and cross-country flights, as well as promoting six mile flights at for a £1 fee. The company was part of a programme set up by AVRO to offer pleasure flights across Britain to encourage the growth of civil aviation.

In December 1920 the business was taken over by the newly created Welsh Aviation Co. Ltd., of which Sparks and Sullock were two of the directors. The company continued to operate AVRO aircraft.
