Samson Clark Ltd
Samson Clark Ltd was an advertising agency established by Mr Clark in 1896 in London's West End. In 1912 it became a private liability company. Miss J. A. Reynolds became a director in that year, and is thought to be the first female director of an advertising agency in Britain. By 1937 she was listed as the company's Managing Director.
The agency moved to purpose-built offices in 1923, in Mortimer Street.
In 1965 the agency was re-established under the name Davidson Pearce Berry & Tuck. After amalgamation with Spottiswoode Advertising in 1970 it became Davidson Pearce Berry & Spottiswoode Ltd, later Davidson Pearce.
