Warrington, Walter 1934 - 1999
Walter Warrington attended Salford Technical College and joined the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) as a Craft Apprentice in 1950. He worked at various power generating stations, notably Barton and Kearsley, and was Charge Engineer at Stuart Street Power Station until its closure in 1975.
In 1975 he started working at Ince ‘B’ Power Station, Elton, near Chester, and was Safety and Training engineer until 1990 when he took early retirement.
On retiring, Walter Warrington then became a safety consultant, working within the construction and manufacturing industries.
