Backhouse & Coppock Ltd

Backhouse and Coppock Ltd. was a paper manufacturing business founded in 1899 in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The firm originally specialised in paper staining and the production of pasteboard. By 1928 they were specialising in papers for the confectionery trade.

By the late 1920s the Inveresk Paper Company had acquired a controlling interest in the business, and the company would remain a part of Inveresk until at least 1970.
